The highlights include visiting the spectacular Kasbah Ait Benhaddou just beyond the Atlas Mountains, strolling through an Oasis, marvelling at Todra Gorge but of course the pinnacle of any trip to the Sahara though is a night in Bedouin tents amongst the towering dunes deep in the desert. You will be woken before sunrise by a local Bedouin, who will take you into the dunes on the back of a camel to watch the sunrise - it is a magical sight that no movie could ever prepare you for. Atlas Mountains Ski AdventureThis is possibly one of the most surreal experiences you will ever undertake, but you will join an exclusive few who can boast to have skied in Africa. The drive alone makes this trip worthwhile with the dramatic scenery and vibrant colours of the varying landscape. Once you have been transported from the warm 65°F heat in Marrakesh to Oukaimeden, we'll get you kitted up with equipment so your ready to hit the slopes. Oukaimeden ski resort has up to 5 runs available with 2 nursery slopes and a chair lift to the top for the more advanced skiers, although many people simply take the lift up to enjoy the stunning views. It's a great alternative to trekking in Morocco, which is limited because of the snow in the mountains during the winter months. It's unlikely to be the purest skiing you'll ever experience but it will certainly be memorable as well as being the only place you will have skied where you can have a mule carry your equipment! |

The Toubkal AscentIf you are looking for trekking in Morocco with absolutely breathtaking scenery this is the trek for you. Your adventure starts in the berber town of Imlil which is nestled amongst the foothills of the Atlas mountains at 2,700m and no more than an hour from Marrakesh. Once you set off with your professional guide and mule you will ascend through authentic berber villages and beautiful mountain landscape to up to 3,200m where you will either set up camp or sleep in the dorm accommodation provided by the nearby refuge. After an early night and an even earlier morning the real trekking starts! As the sun rises you'll find yourself ascending the steep paths up the final 1,000m to the summit of Jebel Toubkal at 4,167m which offers incredible views of the stunning Atlas Mountains. Once you have enjoyed the views and savoured conquering Toubkal all you have to do is simply walk back down! Trekking in Morocco doesn't more challenging or rewarding than this. |

Camel / Horse Riding in the PalmeraieLocated in the north-east corner of the city, La Palmeraie is a beautiful oasis with an abundance of palm trees providing shade from the hot African sun. The Palmeraie oasis is home to a great variety plants, throughout the seasons, orange, fig, permanganate and olive trees spew out their fragrances and display their marvelous colors and luscious fruits. It is for these reasons that it has unsurprisingly become home to some of Marrakesh’s most exclusive residences and top end hotels. So where better to escape the hustle and bustle of the souks of the medina and get back to nature with the stunning backdrop of the Atlas Mountains. Hot Air Ballooning over MarrakeshThere are few better places in the world to experience the thrilling sensation of drifting through the sky. You can't help but marvel at the landscape as you hover over the medieval Marrakesh and enjoy some of the best possible views of the Altas mountains - truly memorable experience. You will be collected from your Riad in Marrakesh in the early hours of the morning, just before sunrise and driven to the launch site which is about 30 kilometres west from the city. As the beautiful, colourful landscape is illuminated by the morning sun, the stunning views of the Marrakesh, berber villages and Atlas mountains become clear. This enthralling voyage will last between 40 - 60 minutes depending of the weather. When your balloon has finally returned to earth your adventure hasn't finished, as you will be served a traditional breakfast in a berber tent before embarking on a short camel ride through the beautiful Palmeraie of Marrakesh, one of the original Oases. |
